The Sleepy Sheep Counting Club
Once upon a time…
One sleepy sheep sits on the soft green hill. She is the first one in the Sleepy Sheep Counting Club, and her name is Nellie. Nellie is very tired. Her eyes are heavy, and her wool is warm. She opens her mouth wide and yawns. Yaaawn. Can you yawn like Nellie? One sleepy sheep. Yawn. Now the club can begin.

Two woolly sheep. Along comes a friend with fluffy, curly wool, as soft as a cloud. Nellie and her friend stand side by side under the stars. They stretch their front legs out long, and they stretch their backs up high. Stretch, stretch, stretch. Can you stretch your arms up to the sky? One, two. Two woolly sheep. Stretch.

Three snuggly sheep. Here comes another, tiptoeing through the grass. Now there are three, all cuddled together in a warm, woolly heap. They lean on each other, and they let out a long, slow breath. Sigh. Can you sigh, nice and slow? One, two, three. Three snuggly sheep. Sigh. Their eyes are getting very, very heavy.

Four cozy sheep. The fourth sheep is Baa-Baa, the biggest, softest sheep of all. He curls up in the middle of the heap and makes a low, rumbly sound. Snore, snore, snore. Can you snore like Baa-Baa? One, two, three, four. Four cozy sheep. Snore. The moon smiles down on the sleepy hill, and the stars smile too.
