The Cloud Who Wanted to Nap

Yawn, said the cloud, and the sky went pink. The sun was setting low, and it painted the edges of the sky with rose and peach and gold. Nimbus was the softest, fluffiest cloud in the whole wide sky, and she was very, very tired. She had been floating all day long. Yawn, said the cloud. She was ready for a nap.

Nimbus drifted over the hills, looking for a bed. Slowly, slowly, she floated past the little green valleys and the winding silver river. She peeked down at the houses with their yellow windows. She looked left and she looked right. Where could a very tired cloud lie down and rest her fluffy head? Where would be soft enough?
